10 January 2023: Lack of footbridges in Neno District.
This is a video showing primary school teachers crossing M’nkulumadzi river in Neno North Constituency in the Southern Region of Malawi.
The teachers are going to work at Chitika Local Education Authority (LEA).
During the rainy season the river becomes too dangerous to cross as the footbridge was constructed very far away from the exact nearby location of the school and as a result primary school learners sometimes do not report for classes as they are unable to cross the river during the rainy season.
