About this event
Daniel Harper has taken his daughters to their cabin in the forest to get away from his new reality. Daniel constructs this alternate reality that the world is ending, forcing the siblings to leave the city to take refuge. His daughter Sammy is convinced that the world is not ending but doesn’t want to go back home as she needs to ensure the safety of her sister, Millie.
longest day, shortest night is an original piece that explores the bond of two sisters, battling their fears through survival; to explore what humans do in our weakest moments — fight-or-flight. In Perth and the world’s current contemporary climate, there is a need for more discussions and conversations about mental health and the effects on the individual and others around them.
