Iran Regards Israel’s Weapons As Toys

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, regards Israel’s weapons as child’s play. He mocks Israel’s weapons as “toys that children play with not drones”. Iran maintains that as long as there are no surprise attacks against their interest, they are not going to offer reactions or retaliations. They warn their response will be immediate and will be at maximum. The international community has warned Israel repeatedly to exercise restraint to avoid escalation.

Funerals were held on Saturday for those killed in the deadly strike in the neighbourhood of Rafah’s Western Tal as-Sultanon Friday night. This is the aftermath of Israel’s air strike on houses in Gaza. At least 10 people including children were killed and 8 arrested as Israel conducted a 40 hour raid.

Digressively, conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to gather momentum with Russia destroying Ukrainian Abrams in Ukraine. Russian drones which cost as little as $500 destroyed five Ukrainians Abrams tanks each valued at $10 million. All the efforts made by world leaders to end the war have been futile with many blaming US for the cause.

Significantly, the number of world leaders voting for Palestinian statehood at the UN increases with countries like China, Russia, Turkey and Indonesia supporting Palestinian statehood. China Premier, Li Qiang sees the effort to grant Palestine statehood as compensation for injustice. Turkish PM Erdogan also met with Leaders of Hamas to prove his support. Only the Irish Foreign Minister shares the same idea with US by condemning Palestine statehood.

Conclusively, US is ready to allocate $26 billion for unconditional support for Israel. This includes military aids and it will be the largest aid provision from US this year.
