In its continued efforts to fight against corruption across Malawi, the Youth and Society (YAS) a youth-led organisation continues to campaign against malpractice.

The Youth Champions

YAS organised a high level discussion meeting on Thursday at ILALA Crest Lodge in the City Of Mzuzu, in the Northen Region Of Malawi in partnership with the National Endowment For Democracy (NED) and with support from Bolstering Citizen Action Against Corruption.

The theme for the ‘Anti – Corruption Stakeholders Dialogue In Mzuzu City’ aims to find ways of dealing with corruption in the city.

Stakeholders from various government departments including the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) representatives and also the Zatikwana Campaign Youth Champions from the Region attended the meeting.

During the meeting the participants raised various forms of corruption practices that are being practiced and solutions on how to combat them.

Presentations were conducted by the Anti – Corruption Bureau (ACB) and the #Zatikwana Campaign National Chairman. The #Zatikwana Campaign is a bold initiative aimed at uniting the youths of Malawi to stand strong against corruption and as of now Sixty (60) youth activists have trained with funding from the National Endowment For Democracy (NED) and it is the Youth and Society’s (YAS) flagship.
