A Chikwawa based youth led organisation in the Southern Region of Malawi known as Community Forum Organisation (COFO) launched a football tournament at Chikwawa community ground in the district. This will be the first ever tournament to be launched since the organisation started operating in the district.
According to the Executive Director Mr. Joshua Malunga, COFO has launched this football initiative with the aim of encouraging the youth from both genders to be actively engaged in sporting activities but also to promote positive actions that prevent young people from involvement in anti-social behaviour.
The tournament has 32 (16 from each gender) teams.
