US ADVISER HOLDS CEASEFIRE TALK IN ISRAEL
US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan is to meet Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday afternoon to refresh Gaza ceasefire talks.
The motive behind his visit is to advise Netanyahu to limit Israel’s assault on Rafah as Israel forces already launched a full scale operation in the southern most city of Rafah with hundreds evacuating the area.
Mediators have made efforts for ceasefire but proposals to reach an agreement have been turned down by either side.
Some hours ago, a body of one the hostages, was recovered, which suggests most of the hostages might have died. Therefore, Israel rejected a proposal for permanent ceasefire, stating it is unacceptable to release bodies instead of hostages.
