Paternity Saga
Shocking revelations have caught the awareness of the world relating to fatherhood. This is no respecter of status, race or religion. It hits the world of sports, politics, religion and no man feels safe anymore seeing loving families broken due to paternity fraud.
Wives are expected to be loyal and faithful to their husbands regardless of embattled marriage situations. No culture, religion or law in the world permits adultery. So, it is forbidden on all grounds if a marriage contract remains valid. Sadly, no father will recover from nursing a child after detecting that the child is not his biological child. The damage will be irreparable!
Worrying stories fly around the world with fathers detecting a number of his kids do not biologically belong to them. Therefore, more men are triggered to attempt a paternity test and the rate of fraud discovered is alarming! The latest victim is Cameroonian ex international and former Chelsea player Geremi Njitap, who decided to file for divorce after a paternity test revealed his children’s biological father was actually his wife’s ex-husband. Until the DNA test, the former footballer believed the twin children were to be his.
Suspiciously, the rate of men calling for DNA tests has increased rapidly but women do not like the idea, citing lack of trust, from any DNA intending husband. Due to the catastrophe it has caused recently, Nigerians are advocating for free compulsory DNA tests to reveal the biological father of the new born baby.
1. What is your take about this development?
2. Would you rather tell your wife you intend to conduct a DNA test or do it discretely?
