FOUR DEAD AND MANY INJURED AS PROTESTERS CLASH WITH RANGERS IN PAKISTAN
Up to four people have lost their lives and many are seriously wounded during the clash between protesters and paramilitary group in Pakistan.
A constant rise in prices of flour and electricity triggered thousands to hit the streets and protest since Friday.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif introduced subsidies worth 24 billion rupees ($86) to cushion the situation. As a result of this, organisers called off the protest on Tuesday. People were asked to suspend the action due to government acceptance to all demands of the protesters but many refused.

In return, the government sent in the paramilitary federal law enforcement (Pakistan Rangers) to control the situation. As people refused to evacuate, Rangers engaged them with tear-gas and later resulted in using arms.
Things got out of control and the paramilitary group deployed firearms which resulted in the death of four and many others sustaining serious injuries. The group were blamed for not allowing citizens to freely express themselves.

On Thursday, Israeli Foreign Minister, Israel Katz asked the UK and Germany to persuade Egypt to reopen the Rafah crossing of Egypt whereas Cairo insinuated Israel was trying to shift the blame onto them.
Apparently, the Egypt relationship with Israel has been strained lately since Israel launched the Gaza attack.

ISRAELI FORCES MOVED BACK TO OCCUPY JABALIA
Thousands of Palestinians fled North Gaza as Israeli forces moved back to combat Hamas in Jabalia.
In January, the Israeli military had dismantled Hamas battalions in the area but didn’t establish a post-war structure to govern the area. This leaves an opportunity for Hamas to regroup in Jabalia for their plans.
