As the Malawian government is trying its level best to promote Early Childhood Development programs with various stakeholders, some youth led organizations are not left behind in making a contribution to the program.
Recently, The Development Network for Youth Empowerment (DENEYE) launched an Early Childhood Development Advocacy program last Monday in the area of Traditional Authority. Mtumbwinda senior group village Headman Nampeya at Nampeya Community Based Child Care Center in Machinga District, Eastern Region of Malawi will aimed promote the program in the area respectively.
And speaking on his behalf,the guest of honour said that his organisation is trying all it can to reach more people in the communities but the major challenge they always face is lack of funding so he applead for any kind of support from well-wishers in order to achieve their goal and he also thanked all those who managed to attend the function.DENEYE donated notebooks and writing materials that will be used by the children who will be starting their primary education in the area.
The representative of Senior group Nampeya also thanked the organisation on the effort that it is doing in the district and asked all the community members to support its initiative for the betterment of their children.He assured all those who gathered at the launch that all the donated items will go to the rightful beneficiaries without taking any favours from everyone.
DENEYE is working with traditional chiefs ,Area Development Committees (ADC),Community leaders and other stakeholders in order to ensure that the objectives of the program are fulfilled but also to ensure gender equality and good governance.
