Israel Open To End War on Gaza

The world is very anxious to see peace reign again in Gaza. Seriously, no one cares about the victory and defeat, all that bothers the world right now is seize-fire and perhaps end of the war. If hostage deals are expected to be implemented by Hamas, Israel will certainly end the war on Gaza.

Initially, mediators have been making efforts to bring the war to end. Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt all intervened as intermediaries negotiating seize fire and release of hostages for weeks but all to no avail. The pressure continue mounting on Israel with Pro-Palestine protests growing stronger worldwide. Even in Israel, citizens are publicly letting out emotions calling for the release of their loved ones and by extension requesting an early election.

Some are deliberately requesting the PM, Netanyahu to resign. Citizens believe he’s prolonging the war to secure reckoning on the ballot boxes. All these may factor negotiation deals and end the war soon. Israel government officially states “we hope that what we offered is enough to bring Hamas into serious negotiation” indicating signs suggest Israel is ready to end war sooner than expected.

Meanwhile, IDF struck Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon. Hezbollah and IDF have being exchanging fire daily since the start of Gaza war although attacks were limited to border locations. They are both intensifying attacks and scope. Hezbollah attacked Mount Meron which is located some eight kilometres from Lebanon border hours ago. France FM., Stéphane Séjourné states “if there was not a war in Gaza, we could be talking about a war in Southern Lebanon giving the impact of strikes in the area”. He reiterated to make effort in stabilizing the area in-order to avoid war.

Additionally, fresh Israeli attacks on Gaza’s Rafah killed at least 7 making it 27 Palestinians that suffered from continuous bombings. More so, IDF hit several targets in overnight air strike in Gaza. The targets include infrastructure, rocket launching positions, armed operatives and observation posts. Demonstration took place last night in Israel after Hamas released a video reportedly showing two captives appealing to the Israeli government for their release. Hopefully, release clauses are met, hostages are set free and the war is brought to an end.
