On Friday CHIYISO assisted Thirty (30) less privileged children in Mzedi Ward,Bangwe community – Blantyre – Southern Region of Malawi with various items such as soap, pens, pencils and notebooks under one of its initiatives known as Tiyanjane Namboya Village Savings and Loan Association which targets both women and youths through various economic empowerment ways.
The Youth led Organisation was established in 2006 by a group of young concerned people in Chigumula Ward in Blantyre. It is one of the leading well registered youth non-profit making Organisations in the Southern Region of Malawi that is truly trying its level best to bring meaningful change to the communities using the little locally available resources they raise through various fundraising events to support the well-being of others.
The Organisation has a fifteen (15) member staff and it has four areas of focus which include: children in conflict with the law, Adolescent Girls and Young women, Youth in general, Key populations thus transgender and sex workers but also in other interests like Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH), HIV and AIDS services, Human Rights, Good Governance, Advocacy and Capacity building programmes that empower its project communities with socio-sustainable economic ideas.
Placing young people at the forefront of change and development is the primary mission while ensuring that young people receive practical skills and knowledge so that they can participate to the best of their ability in issues of national development, is the Organisation’s main vision.
Therefore, the Organisation is asking for well-wishers to help it with funds so that it can implement some of its planned programmes and the Organisation is also a member of several national and international developmental Organisations across the world.
