GHANAIAN TODDLER NAMED WORLD YOUNGEST MALE ARTIST

Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, one year and 152 days old became officially recognised as the world youngest male painter by Guinness World Records.

His mother, Ms Eghan who is also an artist became aware of his talent since he was six months old. She was marvelled with her son’s ability to complement colours at that early age.

Evidently, Ace Liam participated in a professional exhibition to showcase his talent to the world. His work was displayed at the Museum of Science and Technology in Accra where 9 of 10 pieces of his paintings were sold.

The super talent who turns two in July, has successfully sold 15 paintings of his work and a program will soon be held to auction his paintings.

KENYAN MOUNTAINEER DIED IN AN ATTEMPT TO CLIMB EVEREST

A Kenyan mountaineer who attempted to climb the highest mountain in the world was found dead after missing.

Joshua Cheruiyot Kirui, 40, and his Nepali guide Nawang Sherpa could not be contacted on Wednesday during an attempt to become the first African to climb Mt Everest without extra oxygen.

His guide is yet to be found by search team, a local tourism official declared. Climbing Everest is considered very dangerous even by experienced climbers. Two climbers from Romania and Britain were also found dead with their Nepalese guide on Tuesday.

Mr Kirui, a former banker had prepared so well locally for the challenge and believed he could conquer Everest without oxygen but sadly lost his life in the process.

LIBIANCA FACES DEATH THREAT OVER BAMENDA CLAIM 

Singer Libianca is facing death threat following her Facebook post on Bamenda, a place she came from in Cameroon.

The Afrosoul Artist, who lived in the United States for most of her life posted on Facebook   “IT’S LIBIANCA FROM BAMENDA”.  Some Cameroonians misinterpreted this and started storming her social media page with national flags. There has been a secession struggle by separatists for Bamenda independence, a movement that have claimed many lives in Cameroon.

The 25 year-old had to postpone her North American tour because she had received death threats on social media for performing with a Cameroonian flag.

Separatists in Cameroon believed the singer’s waving of Cameroonian flag shows support for President Paul Biya who have being repressing the fight for Bamenda secession from Cameron.

EXPLOSION IN SUGAR FACTORY KILLS 11 IN TANZANIA

Eleven people confirmed dead and two injured after an explosion in sugar Mtibwa factory located in Tanzania.

The incident occurred around 23:00 GMT Wednesday at a factory managed by Mtibia Sugar Estates Limited. The workers were at the verge of starting production at the dark point.

The deceased who were electrical and machine staff are made up of Tanzanians and other nationals from Brazil, India, Kenya and China. Their bodies have been moved to the mortuary at recovery.

Consequently, production activities have been suspended at the company to mourn the deceased.

ZAMBIAN GOVERNMENT DENIES LUNGU HOUSE ARREST CLAIM

Ex Zambian President, Edgar Lungu accused the police of placing him under house arrest for committing no crime.

The former president said police were mobilised to ambush, abduct, embarrass and arrest him like a hardened criminal.

Previously, the former leader made numerous controversial statements about the current government insinuating there could be a change of government before the next general election in 2026.

Although the Zambian government denied the claim and asked him to give his successor time to deliver his promises for the nation.

Mr Lungu is currently in active opposition shortly after coming out of political retirement and he wants to contest for presidency in the next election.
