TAIWAN READY TO RESIST ANNEXATION BY BEIJING

China is carrying out major war drills around Taiwan following the statement by Taiwanese President William Lai to resist control by China last week.

The Chinese government previously labelled William Lai a “trouble maker” and a “dangerous separatist”. They also warned against voting him as president.

Taiwan criticized the drills, therefore the self-controlled island military are holding its position at sea and in the air.

Taiwan and the US are allies and the latter says it is monitoring the situation whereas Beijing has warned US to stop supporting the island and respect the Chinese policy.
