NETANYAHU DECLARED NOTHING WILL ABORT RAFAH ATTACK

Despite the ongoing negotiation with mediators and Hamas leaders, Israel PM Netanyahu never deemed it fit to withdraw Rafah attack.

The anticipation of allies and International communities is left hanging with the truce implementation changing phase. The new proposal is said to include a 40-day truce and release of almost 1000 Palestinian prisoners for 20-33 Israeli hostages. Netanyahu reacted, ‘war won’t end until all goals achieved’.

Apparently, this is widely regarded as a favourable deal while hoping for Hamas to pounce on it for thousands of Palestinian prisoners to be freed. After all, Israel considers to drop demand from 40 hostages to 33 after realising some have died.

Earlier on Monday, UN Secretary of States, Anthony Blinken had urged Hamas to quickly accept Israel proposal for hostages to be released and bring the war to an end.

HAMAS READY TO ACCEPT DEAL

The Hamas appear to embrace the proposed truce deal by Israel two days ago. A senior Hamas official stated on Sunday that the Palestinian fighting group had no major issues with the most recent truce plan.

Mediators from Qatar, Hamas and Israeli officials are expected to converge in Egypt on Monday to negotiate a truce deal. This required to be facilitated as soon as possible in-order to interrupt the planned assault on the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah. Among several foreign ministers in Riyadh is Britain Foreign Secretary, David Cameron, who was keeping an eye on the development in Cairo to feed the world. Significantly, Israel had dropped their proposal of 40 hostages been freed to 33 hostages to make the truce acceptable.

As Israel awaits Hamas’s response to accept the offer, more Israeli delegation reportedly travelled to Egypt on Tuesday for further talks on conflict settlement. We hope the outcome of the meeting will result in cease-fire and the war is put to rest.

ANTI ISRAEL PROTESTERS HIJACK COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

After Columbia University protesters defied the management deadline, the university suspends students who refused to remove tents and vacate the location. This had triggered unruly behaviour by some protesters who went far ahead to smash windows and occupy Hamilton Hall. Later on, the school urges students to avoid the campus.

Columbia University

Sequel to past unrest events in Columbia University that have lasted two weeks already, authorities stepped in to crackdown down protesters if encampment isn’t cleared by 2:00 pm local time on Tuesday and culprits are warned to face disciplinary actions. The deadline was openly defied after a series of delays and postponement.

Shockingly, some anti-Israel students were seen encouraging other supporters to flock the encampment holding placard of “Columbia will burn”!

Extensively, demonstrators reportedly held workers against their will for a short period. A maintenance worker and three other workers were held as hostages but later got freed to move away. US President, Joe Biden, condemned protesters action for going too far.

NETANYAHU FEARS ICC ARREST

The spread of allegations against IDF for blocking humanitarian packages to Gaza tickle consequences. ICC began investigating the action which “deliberately starved” Gazans and may prompt the arrest of PM Netanyahu, IDF members and some Israeli officials for war crimes.

Meanwhile, US President Biden reacted “arrest would be distortion of justice and stain on humanity”. US Congress members also criticized and warned the International Criminal Court against the arrest of Israeli top officials. They cited such a move could disrupt the truce deal between Israel and Hamas.

Additionally, US House Speaker slammed ICC arrest warrant as “ disgraceful “ if it eventually goes ahead for the arrest of Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.

Furthermore, as other allies such as Russia pushes for ICC arrests, US Congress regards it as “lawless” on Monday. Johnson expressed that if unchallenged by the Biden administration, the ICC could create and assume unprecedented power to issue arrests against American political leaders and American military personnel, thereby endangering American sovereign authority.
