Deneye pleads for assistance in order to help flood affected victims

Malawi is experiencing a lot of heavy rains in some parts of the country and on the 6th January around 1700 in the area of Traditional Authority Chikweo, Group Village Head Manja, in the Eastern Region of Malawi Machinga district; experienced devastating heavy rains that led to the collapse of several houses, injuring a lot of villagers.

The affected area is one of the program zones for a youth led organisation which is based in the district known as the Development Network for Youth Empowerment (DENEYE) and the injured villagers are receiving treatment at Chikweo Health Centre in the district.

According to Mr. Shalid Ishmael, the Executive Director for the organisation, all the villagers properties were washed away in the floods and hence he asks for assistance from well-wishers since the victims are in need of food, clothes and shelter.
