HAMAS CONSIDER CEASEFIRE HOSTAGE RELEASE PROPOSAL TO PREVENT RAFAH OPERATION

Hamas make steps to consider the release of 33 hostages to halt Gaza invasion temporarily, reliable source affirmed.

The crafted proposal by Israel entails two phases: the first phase will see 33 hostages be released in exchange for war pause and the release of Palestinian prisoners. While the second phase include the exchange of remaining hostage captives, Israel soldiers and bodies of hostages being exchange for more Palestinian prisoners. This is said to bring restoration of sustainable calm.

Concerned parties want to see the agreement met in the coming days after months of deadlock. US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken believes a deal is achievable because the Israelis put a strong proposal on the table this time. Agreement from both sides would be major step forward in bringing the war to an end.

However, Israel warned on Monday that they’ll go ahead with full scale operation in Rafah regardless of the deal. As things stand, the agreement of Hamas to the deal can only earn them a temporary pause of war. This is the bottleneck holding back the deal. Hamas need to act now and it has to be fast.
