ISRAEL NOT READY TO ACCEPT PALESTINE STATEHOOD
Several European countries have voted to recognise Palestine statehood following the estranged war between Israel and Palestine.
About 139 countries including Spain, Ireland and Norway have recognised the Palestine State which may put pressure on UK, France and Germany. But, Israel insists granting Palestine its request will encourage terrorism and deplete the chances of a ceasefire agreement.
Significantly, the two-state solution has been suggested by the US to apply in bringing about a resolution. The agreement between the two to have their own state with separate borders will be a lasting solution to end the war between these two neighbours.

MACRON INTERVENES IN CALEDONIA RIOT
Emmanuel Macron travelled to New Caledonia on Tuesday night to address the chaos on the island.
There has been unrest in Caledonia for over a week due to France’s voting reform plans which were rejected by Indigenous leaders. The reform supports more French residents to vote in the Caledonian election which has been criticised as a tool to dilute political influence of their people.
The outbreak of violence on the island has seen looting of national monuments and the destruction of government properties. Foreign nationals including Australians have begun flying out of the island to ensure their safety.
Consequently, French troops have been deployed to the area to restore order and calm. They are already making progress as reported.
