Man City eventually won the game by 2 goals from Erling Haaland to move City closer to historic four time’s consecutive Premier league winner in a roll.

RANGERS PROLONG CELTIC WAIT TO BECOME SCOTTISH LEAGUE CHAMPION

Rangers had to produce magnificent performance to topple Dundee FC after going down by 2-0 in the first half.

Goals from R. McCausland, C. Dessers, T. Cantwell and S.Wright overturned the deficit that could have automatically handed the league champion to Celtic before next match.

Philippe Clement, Rangers manager revealed he was very furious after they went down by 2 goals before Rangers players made it a victory.

Rangers is now three points behind the league leaders Celtic who needs just a point against Kilmarnock on Wednesday to become champions.

ASTON VILLA QUALIFIED FOR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Aston Villa have grabbed the Champions league spot for the first time after Tottenham relinquished their chances of 4th place finish.

Tottenham were the only team mathematically who could dislodge Villa at fourth position but lost the chances as they went down 2-0 to City on Tuesday.

The Unai Emery side are now five points ahead of Tottenham with a game to end the league. The team last played on the European Cup 41 years ago in 1982-83 and they’ll have the opportunity to represent England now that it has been rebranded to champion’s league.

Kudos to Unai Emery who turned Villas fortune around after been appointed in October 2022 when Villa was three points from relegation zone.

REAL MADRID THRASHED ALAVES AT THE SANTIAGO BERNABEU

Real Madrid handed Alaves a heavy defeat on Tuesday to consolidate on their current form.  Coach Ancellotti had said he’ll use the remaining LaLiga matches to prepare for the upcoming champions league.

Jude Bellingham put the merengues ahead in the 10th minute before Vinicius Junior doubled the lead in 27th minute. It was easy-peasy for Madrid as Valverde and A. Guler also registered themselves on the score log with another goal from Vinicius to make it 5-0.

The race for golden boot is still alive with Bellingham scoring his 19th league goal making it one goal behind the top scorer Artem Dovbyk of Girona.

So far, Real Madrid only lost a game this season and they are now a victory to equal the team record of 31 LaLiga games unbeaten since 1989 season.

OLIVIER GIROUD JOINS ANGELES FC IN MLS

Olivier Giroud has put pen to paper for Angeles FC in major league soccer.

The French top scorer enjoyed three years with AC Milan and helped the side win Series A title in his first season.

He is now 37 years, so MLS came knocking at the right time. He signed a year contract which is due to expire in 2025 with an option to extend for a further year.

“I am delighted and excited to join LA FC. I can’t wait to get to Los Angeles and play in-front of the incredible fans” Giroud said.

Superstars from Europe move to MLS at the later stage of their career to have a different football experience.
