On Tuesday, some elderly women and widows in Mzimba District, Traditional Authority (T/A) Mtwalo, Northern Region of Malawi were full of smiles when Elangeni Community Based Organisation (CBO) a youth led Organisation helped them to cover costs at a maize mill in the District.
Yollam Oscar Ngwira, the Executive Director of the Organisation said that the beneficiaries were asked to bring two tins of maize grain at the maize mill. The team covered all the costs which was budgeted at MK10,000 (local currency) and the main aim was to give a helping hand to needy who cannot afford to cover the maize mill expenses as it is one of the core objectives of the Organisation. There were a total of 11 beneficiaries.
