On Friday Bon Kalindo alongside residents of Mzuzu City and the surrounding communities in the Northern Region of Malawi conducted peaceful demonstrations where they presented a petition to Mzuzu City Council officials which will later on be sent to the President of the Republic of Malawi Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to address all the raised concerns.
Here are some of the pictures that were captured during the demonstrations.
Addressing demonstrators at the Mzuzu clock tower round-about, Kalindo stressed basic necessities prices such as electricity, sugar, soap, water, cooking oil and others be reduced immediately for socio-economic welfare of the majority poor.
The peaceful demonstrators marched from Katoto Secondary School Grounds to the Mzuzu Civic Offices with a full police escort.
