THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE HAS REVEALED A PLATFORM FOR REPORTING CYBERCRIME
The Public Relations Officer of The Nigeria Police Force Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has revealed in a statement when he said ‘The Nigerian Police Force is pleased to inform the general public of the launch of a new more robust and secured domain for reporting cybercrime related offenses as part of the continued commitment to combating cybercrime and enhancing the safety and security of our digital space.’
This new reporting platform will be handled by the National Cybercrime Centre NCCC and The Nigeria Police Force NPF.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi also stated the upgraded site offers improved security to protect user information and is user friendly for efficient reporting.
The Inspector General of Police urges all members of the public to make use of this new platform for reporting any cyber crime activities.

NAHCON PARTNERS WITH NDLEA TO STOP SMUGGLING OF PROHIBITED ITEMS INTO SAUDI ARABIA
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria Executive Chairman Jalal Arabi, has asked the state pilgrims welfare to work with the Nigeria Drug Law and Enforcement Agency NDLEA to stop the exporting of prohibited items into Saubi Arabia.
The Chairman pointed out this need in a statement released by the Commission’s Assistant Director of Public Affairs Mrs Fatima Usara, in Abuja.
Mr Jalal Arabi emphasised on the need for the collaboration between state authorities and related agencies to bring out those attempting to smuggle items that are prohibited into Saudi Arabia.
He also said the collaboration is needed to avoid humiliating Nigerians and preventing delays during screening of pilgrims in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
Mr Jalal Arabi stated that “any individual caught exporting prohibited items is not only bringing shame upon themselves but also tarnishes the reputation of Nigeria.”

MAN ARRESTED FOR IMPERSONATING THE STATE DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE IN NIGERIA
The Nigeria Police Force, Sokoto State Command, has arrested a 27-year old man, Abdul Nasir Bello, for imitating the Nigeria Deputy Superintendent of Police, to defraud people.
The Suspect was paraded at the command headquarters in Sokoto, the Commissioner of Police, Alli Kaigama said Mr Bello was arrested after several complaints from his victims.
Mr Abdul Nasir Bello has looted people by claiming to help people get recruited into The Nigeria Police Force.
A victim known as Mr Danjuma Garba of Buyyukum Local Government Area of Zamfara State Nigeria and three others, has reported at the Sokoto State Criminal Investigation Department, that one officer named Abul Nasir Bello has collected the sum of N420 000 to recruit them into the Nigeria Police Force.
The suspect confessed to the crime during interrogation, he confessed that he has been impersonating the Deputy Superintendent of Police since 2016 doing illegal duties of The Nigeria Police extorting money from people.

THE NIGERIA MINISTER STOPS THE ENFORCEMENT OF HELICOPTER LANDING LEVIES IN NIGERIA
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Nigeria Festus Keyamo has suspended the enforcement right granted to the Messers NAEBI Dynamic Concept Ltd by the Federal Government as consultants for collecting levies for helicopter landing at aerodromes helipads and strips for the time being.
This information was disclosed at the meeting with the Executives of Airline Operators of Nigeria
Report has it that this development came as a result of the doubts by the industry stakeholders concerning the fee.
After this, the Minister also created a committee which consists of members from the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and its important agencies.
This Committee has been assigned the duty of looking into the reservations of the stakeholders and give a report at the end of June.

PROTESTERS IN NIGERIA STORMS APC SECRETARIAT REQUESTING FOR THE RESIGNATION OF THE WOMAN LEADER
A group of women stormed the headquarters of All Progressives Congress in Abuja Nigeria protesting for the resignation of the National Woman Leader Dr. Mary Alile-Idele.
The Women Leader has been accused of negligence, pursuit of personal interests and the diversion of some of 24,000 wrappers donated to the women by the First Lady of Nigeria Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu.
Dr Mary Alile-Idele has been accused of negligence and putting her personal interests first.
After getting fabrics donated by the First Lady of Nigeria, the Women Leaders were warned to distribute all the fabric by the All Progressive Council National Chairman Abdullah Umar Ganduje.
The protesters led by the Rebecca Sheneni, and the coordinator of the ‘Concerned APC Women’ said only 9000 of the 24000 fabrics were shared. The National Woman Leader has been accused of ignoring her duty and promoting other agenda.
