UPDATES: ISRAEL-IRAN WAR

After series of ballistic missiles were fired at Israel some hours ago, Iran decided to initiate attack. Tehran says the West should appreciate Iran’s restraint towards Israel. Iran also warns Israel at the United Nations stating “…if Israel wants to continue its evil operations, it will receive a response dozens of times stronger.”

Allies are beginning to take sides and make their support public. Turkey refused to allow the United States to use their space for attack against Iran, Russia pledged their support to Iran militarily and economically (they already moved a hyper-sonic missile to the Middle East), Lebanon is always an ally of Iran and Palestine and China refuses to condemn Iran’s attack on Israel claiming it is the consequence of the Israel war on Gaza.

Meanwhile, the Middle East prepares for retaliatory attack on Iran whilst the United Nations remains a strong ally of Israel ever since US President Joe Biden told Benjamin Netanyahu  Israel prime minister late Sunday that the U.S would not be front-liners at retaliatory action in response to Iran’s attack but continue to give necessary support in terms of funding and warships.

Israeli fighter jets hit Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon overnight. This development shows there are more attacks to come in the next hours. Earlier on Sunday, UK, France and Jordan surmounted the heads of Iranian diplomatic missions in to have diplomatic discussions.

In an effort to end the war, Ola Schulz, the German Chancellor advised Israel not to retaliate Iran’s attack. He reiterated that they had been able to neutralize hundreds of ballistic missile by 99% which is already a success that should not be overshadowed.

The world watches as tensions continue to rise at the Middle East and we can only hope this conflict does not escalate to WWIII.
